RICHARD
E. CRUM, PARTNER
Richard Crum graduated from Montgomery Academy in Montgomery, Alabama.
Thereafter he attended Auburn University where he received a Bachelor of Arts
Degree in History in 1991. He was a member of the Kappa Sigma
fraternity at Auburn. Mr. Crum earned his law degree at Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1994.
He has been practicing law in Alabama since 1994, in Florida since 1995, and
in Georgia since 1996. He is also admitted to practice in the United
States District Courts for the Northern District of Alabama, Middle District of
Alabama, Southern District of Alabama, Northern District of Georgia, and Middle
District of Georgia.
Mr. Crum is a member of the Alabama Defense Lawyers
Association, the American Bar Association, and the Houston County Bar
Association. Mr. Crum has spent his entire professional career in the State of
Alabama where he has represented countless clients in insurance defense cases statewide.
His extensive knowledge of the law and his lengthy experience as an attorney
help Mr. Crum find simple solutions to the complex problems facing insurance
companies today.
Mr. Crum focuses his practice on insurance defense
cases, primarily medical malpractice, but also including product liability and
workers compensation defense issues. He is committed to upholding the standards
of Alabama law and seeing that the individuals and businesses he represents
throughout the state are given the legal representation they deserve.
KELLY
W. HARMON, ASSOCIATE
Mr.
Harmon received his Bachelor of Science degree from Samford University in 1991
and his law degree from Birmingham School of Law in 2007. He is a member
of the Alabama State Bar and is admitted to practice in all Alabama state
courts.
Mr. Harmon practices primarily in the areas of insurance and
corporate defense with experience in cases involving workers’ compensation,
medical malpractice, contract disputes, and products liability.
Mr.
Harmon worked full time throughout both undergraduate and law school.
He
began his career as an insurance adjuster in 1991, focusing primarily on
workers’ compensation. In 2001, Mr. Harmon moved into corporate management of
safety, occupational health and workers’ compensation. During that time, he
earned his law degree and transitioned into corporate practice as an in-house
attorney for a large, international corporation.
Mr.
Harmon has been involved in multiple workers’ compensation defense cases,
medical malpractice defense cases and products liability trials statewide. He
has also handled numerous appeals in the Alabama Supreme Court.
Mr.
Harmon’s vast claims experience and his years working as corporate counsel
provide him a unique and valuable understanding of insurance claims and all
varieties of corporate functions to assist in the representation of our
clients.
